MLM Success Secret #1 – Million Dollar Mindset

You need to figure out the skills you have, the skills you need, and practice them along with these

1. You need to dedicate yourself to Mastering those skills.
2. Understand there are no Good or Bad experiences, just LEARNING experiences
3. Set proper expectations, 60 to 90 days not real rational. MLM success will most likely follow this progression:
• 1 year to get good at the skils,
• 3 years to replace your job income,
• 5 years to become a “Heavy Hitter”
• 7 years to become a true MLM Success Master
• Note: And a little explanation, folks like the famous Micheal Masterson (“Automatic Wealth”, “Ready, Fire, Aim”) have noted that it takes about 10,000 hours to master a skill set. So you figure 4 hours a day, 365 days a year, for 7 years…10220 hours (4 x 365 = 1460 x 7 = 10220).
4. Learn to employ yourself, you need to be accountable to yourself, if you are going to write an Article, call on the phone for an hour, you need to do it (and do it consistently)
5. Learn to respect the Laws of Attraction. You can not get to where you are going if the folks you hang around don’t want to go there. Harsh but true, please don’t be yet another person that fails at gaining MLM Success trying to prove that law doesn’t apply to them.
6. See the Future and see it bright and blazing and happening. You need to become a Visionary. You need to do this to make it. You need see where you are going, knowing that being reasonable, that your days of fitting into other people’s expectations of what your life should be are over.
7. Grow Personally Constantly. (There’s that old bug-a-boo). To be real honest, how do you intelligently do something you don’t know how to do? If you are smart, you ask and/or you read the right person (can you say upline or Mentor) the right books, listen to tapes/CD/Pod casts. You use your adherence to the Law of Attraction by getting to events where like minded MLM Success oriented people are gathering.

So, in the previous two blogs we talked about Bounce Rate what it is and how to Analyze it. Today we are going to talk about killing your Bounce Rate, well maybe just reduce it substancially.

Killing your Bounce Rate

From your Bounce Rate Analysis via CrazyEgg, ClickTale, or LiveBall you should at least be able to see where folks are “looking” and clicking and make the necessary changes to your web site. Some things might be a matter of browser. Remember you may have your favorite, but there are others out there, Firefox, IE, Safari, GoogleChrome. It could be a matter of getting a high Bounce Rate because your site does not show up well in the browser most people use to get to your site. Check your website out in those different browsers.

Reduce Bounce Rate by actively engaging your visitor

With that being said, remember is the thing about Bounce Rate is visitors pop on and pop off too fast for you to begin to develop a relationship with. A way to extend that “do I stay or do I Bounce” decision is to have more “aggressive” interaction with those visitors.

For example, in the upper left hand part of this blog section do you see that ball next to “Chat with Hunter Williams”? If it is green, you can chat with me (I dare you ). Here are several ways you can catch your visitor and if nothing else gain a little more insight to why folks are contributing to your Bounce Rate.

Reduce Bounce Rate with the following tools

Google Talk – is a free service. You can place a Google Talk badge on your website that shows if you are on line (the ball turns green). A quick panic reducer here, when you sign up for Google Talk you need to use a Gmail account and when you have signed into that Gmail account and have it active, you show up as available. Sign out of the Gmail account the green ball goes. The link to Google Talk is Here.

This is an interesting way to engage a visitor, remember, they are looking for information, an expert. They were pointed to your “store”, they are looking through the window, not sure if anyone is there, but you put a large button up saying “Press if you need help”. to get direct feedback from web traffic

KISS Insights – triggers a popup window in the footer to get visitor feedback. The creators of KISSmetrics developed this website feedback script that is essentially a popup window in the footer of your website and will allow visitors to tell you what they need. You can also customize your questions. There is a free version available. The link to KISS Insights is here.

Kampyle – this service puts a nicely displayed Feedback “We Listen” Button (or popup) on your website which visitors click and fill out a form. What is neat about the forms is that your visitors are engaged with responses. As the website owner, you are given great analytics and reports of the feedback. There is a free 15 day trial but to use long term the cheapest plan is the $99/month Bronze plan. The link to Kampyle is here.

Ethnio – this service applies javascript code to your website and will engage your visitors and recruit them…to provide feedback about your website. Not join your primary business. (Dang!) The link to Ethnio is here.

Survey Monkey – this is a service to use on existing customers and subscribers to ask for their feedback on your website. There is a free and Pro version available. The link to Survey Monkey is here.

All of these tools should help to engage your visitors, and if nothing else, give them the impression you care about their experience on your web page, (which you do). Now again, this is not an exhaustive list of solutions, but I think you will agree, there a enough actionable items here to get you to taking huge chunks out of your Bounce Rate.

Warning! You have a Bounce Rate, and what you don’t know about it could be thwarting all your SEO efforts. Now you may be thinking, Bounce Rate? What the heck is that? Is it some kind of computer virus or worm or Trojan horse? Well it is not one of those, but it could be more damaging to your online business. The worst part is, it is self inflicted.

Bounce Rate is self inflicted, why would you do that?

The best part is, it is self inflicted and therefore fixable.

From Google Analytics Help, “Bounce Rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality – a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren’t relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.”

In other words, your website is acting like the stereotypical MLM/Network Marketer; lurking in the produce isle at the local supermarket, pouncing on anybody within a three foot circumference, asking the hapless victim if they have a dream and want to make tons of money and save their marriage and…no regard at all for what the person actually wants.

Bounce Rate is fixable, but you have to know what it is

We can do some things to fix your Bounce Rate, the first being to find out what it is. So here are the steps to begin to get a handle on your site’s Bounce Rate.

Create a Google Analytics account and point it towards your website. To do this you must have a gmail account. If you don’t have one, go get one now Sign up for Google Gmail Account. I would suggest trying to get an account with your website in it, for example, mywebsite@gmail.com. This is just a suggestion and if you already have a gmail account you just need to sign up for Google Analytics at https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=analytics. You may have to sign into your Gmail account first.

Bounce Rate and other metrics help your site be better

Follow the instructions and if you have just started your account, periodically go back to Google Analytics to see if traffic data has been generated. Some of the data gathered will absolutely astound you. A little personal insight, when I first started looking for my Bounce Rate, within the Google Analytics data, there is a page that shows you where people are clicking on your main page.

One of my page tabs was getting 20% of the clicks but I was not seeing anything (i.e. leads) flow from that page (something you can do with Aweber forms). So I checked out the page and somehow I had canceled the list associated with the form. So I fixed it and now I cut down to 0 the 100% disappointment the 20% of my viewers were experiencing on that page. A better experience, a better feeling about me and what I have to offer…attraction marketing in progress and on track.

Now on to the Bounce Rate information.

When you get into your Google Analytics account there should be a Home, Standard Reporting, and Custom Reporting tabs. To get the general Bounce Rate, click on Standard Reporting and when that page presents, on the left hand side there will be a list of choices, click on Content. On the page that presents, Bounce Rate will be listed.

Do NOT Panic the first time you see your Bounce Rate

When you see the rate, do not do anything rash. We can lower that rate.

With all the many things people are trying to do to achieve success in today’s shoddy economy, one of the best is to build a home business. Now, of course, the type of home business you open matters tremendously. Perhaps network marketing is your calling. If you’d like to learn more about it, check out this article.

Some people will refuse your product as you’re pitching it to them and some of them can be outright rude. It is important that you keep your composure at all times. Never sink to their level and be rude with them. If they refuse you with attitude, politely concede your pitch, and move on to another possible customer.

An important tip to consider when it comes to network marketing is to figure out the best ways to attract your target market. This is critical because if you do not know how to reach them and then draw them in then you are fighting a losing battle. Study your target market and find out what makes them tick.

One of the benefits of network marketing is that it’s not a 9-5 job, but you still need to block out time each day to do your network marketing activities. Scheduling your “business time” in advance gets you into the habit of running your business without a boss as well as prevents other commitments from getting in the way.

Funding for your new network marketing career should not come from a loan. Network marketing is a risky field to go into as it’s not entirely based on how hard you work. The market has to be there to “sell” to so you can build your downline and make a profit. Losing your home isn’t worth it!

Listen to your prospective clients carefully. Let them tell you what they want, instead of trying to convince them that they want what you are offering. This way, you can tailor your marketing efforts to their specific needs, and you’re more likely to turn a potential contact into a member of your network.

Do not tolerate unethical business practices from those in your downline. If you discover that someone in your downline is spamming the internet with ads, for example, talk to that person right away and ask them to stop. Unethical people make business worse for everyone in your company, so don’t allow them to do that without doing anything.

Stay in touch with your customers. Ask them to answer to surveys about the quality of the product or service they purchased. Most people do not respond to surveys: be creative to make your surveys more interesting. You could have people win prizes or make your surveys look like games.

Free Leads

An important tip to consider when it comes to network marketing is that you should never pay for leads. You can easily obtain free leads yourself with a little investment of your own time.

Sponsoring

Sponsoring a charity can help you get the word out about your business. Often, sponsorships come in various levels based on how much you donate, so you can be flexible about how much you have to give. This will get your name out to hundreds or thousands of people locally who may be interested in what you’re doing.

In order to succeed at network marketing you need to focus on income producing activities and make sure that you spend your work time wisely. When working on your computer, do not waste all of your time logged onto Facebook or checking emails. Spend the majority of your online work time marketing, sponsoring people and selling your company’s products.

People are willing to do some crazy things for money when jobs are scarce, but that doesn’t mean you should leap into any opportunity without being fully aware of what the task entails. Make sure you focus on and apply these network marketing tips above if you want to be successful as a marketer.

The Secret to Success in 5 Seconds a Day? How is that possible? No way you say? (And I respond, with that kind of attitude it may take you 10).

How To MLM – Feeling your Self Improvement

One of the earliest books I read on Self Improvement was Wayne Dyer’s Your Erroneous Zones (I can still see the cover). The book really impacted me. I can also still remember after driving my sister to college, buying a Whopper at a Burger King (I just absolutely love Whoppers) and it was raw. I knew the whole world would end if I went up and asked to have my burger cooked properly…but having just read the book, emboldened by the logic of Wayne Dyer, I summoned all my courage, walked up to the manager and asked that my burger be cooked better. What a shock, the manager grabbed the burger and started to profusely … apologize and gave me a whole ‘nother Whopper as fast as it could be made. I learned a lot about myself and the wisdom that Wayne Dyer wrote.

Since that day I’ve followed his writings and bought his books when they came out. He has certainly progressed down an amazing path of self discovery and inner peace. Wayne Dyer has also taken to helping out PBS (Public Broadcasting Stations) across the country. It was during one of these recent PBS fund raisers I got pulled into another of his great seminars.

How To MLM – Nagging?

I know you have heard it before the nagging, “garbage in, garbage out”, you NEED to be reading positive mental attitude books, be around people with dreams and who are going some place. You do for a while, then watching the latest non-family friendly show on ABC Family is a “quick break”, the succession of YouTube videos are just a click away, maybe not the greatest stuff to be watching, and then you start nagging on your self. The harsh words, “you’ll never be successful”, “you call yourself a business person”, “you don’t know how to MLM“, and it spirals downward from there. (By the way you need to stop that.)

The round about point I’m getting to that Wayne Dyer speaks to so well, is all that stuff, good or bad, you are feeding yourself gets digested by your subconscious. The funny (that maybe a bad word here)thing about the subconscious is it doesn’t care if its been fed good or bad, it itself has trouble with what is real and not to begin with. But it does act to make the “stuff” you feed it true.

The battle then becomes to overcome the negative with positive, speaking positively, being upbeat, seeing the “half-full” glass, (yada, yada, yada). That can get difficult to do, but Dr. Dyer also mentioned this in that little PBS show he put on, the subconscious will believe what you tell it, and the more convincing or the better convincing you do of your subconscious will increase the speed at which it works to manifest those changes in your life. It has to, that’s it’s job.

How To MLM – What to do tonight

So tonight make sure you don’t watch any garbage right before you go to bed. Read something inspirational. Actually, you don’t have to do either of those things (although it would help), but before you close your eyes and enter the Land of Nod, do this.

Think of something positive, and say it in your mind like “I am connected to an unlimited source of abundance.” And as you say that, see yourself enjoying what you believe that would bring to you. A house of your dreams, doing the math in your check register and there is still $10,238,456.43 in the account. Then imagine how you would feel if (when) that were true, the peace, the confidence, the joy etc. Do these things, say, see, and feel a couple of times for whatever it is you want (how great you are on the phone, how you can talk to anyone, how your business is expanding beyond your wildest dreams, knowing how to MLM with the best of them) right before you drop off to sleep.

Imagine what your subconscious is going to feed on for the eight hours of sleep with such a huge and overflowing plate…

The Blog/Article Marketing approach in our How To MLM process can push your resolve to put together and publish a Blog/Article everyday. We all know how busy and hectic your day can get with work, things to do at home, prospecting, phone calls, webinars, and oh yeah your blog entry.

How To MLM – Blogging to Page Ranking

This methodology is not the overnight sensation, flash-in-the-pan approach to getting and sustaining reliable, ever growing traffic to your website. And as you are learning it takes self-discipline, resolve, and a pretty good imagination to keep coming up with ideas.

To be honest the Article spinning thing can be almost as cumbersome as writing an original article so whipping out The Best Spinner software and microwaving a blog or article in 10 minutes is a bit of a stretch.

How to MLM – Legal Shortcut

You may not be aware of it but you can copy someone else’s article…provided you follow the rules. Just for your edification. The following was copied (names were changed to protect the innocent) from an Article website, you will have to review the Publisher Terms of Service for the website you are leveraging:

1. You must not remove “Article Source: http://www.websitename.com” from each article you choose to publish.
2. You must respect the copyright of each author whose articles you wish to publish. This includes but is not limited to 1. resource box, 2. any links provided by the author.
3. You must not change, edit, or reword any part of any article not written by you.
4. You must agree to keep hyperlinks “live” so that users can click on said link and be taken to it’s destination.

So there you have it. A plan B to keep the mojo flowing.

How To MLM – How to Create Synergy

The important part to remember is you must give proper props the to article you are “re-articling”. So what that means is you have to keep their links in the article/blog and you can’t pass the content off as yours. So a great way to bridge the gap between someone else’s article and your blog/article is a bit of honesty. Something like…

I was doing some online investigating about such and such and I came across this article that really made a lot of sense and I thought I just had to share it. I also looked at some of their other articles and you should do your self a favor and check out some of their other posts. Here is what I really wanted to pass on..

MLM training may be the one thing you will probably never find it difficult to get in your network marketing business. However, with that being said, getting MLM training, and going through training that works well are two completely different things.

Time Value of MLM Training

It is important to realize the “time value” of the MLM training available. Thomas Edison and even some of the recent “millionaire” internet marketing gurus created their fortunes in times much, much different than what we currently have. The things I learned and practiced when I first got into MLM (tapes, am I dating myself or what?) just will not work in today’s market place.

The trouble with that statement is the fact that it’s not completely accurate. As an example – try duplicating what J.P. Morgan did to create wealth. Getting yourself into business this year differs from getting into business was in the early 20th century – and the same thing relates to your MLM business.

To continue this discussion, today is quite different than yesterday, in terms of rules, regulations, and the advent of Social Networking just to name a few things. So to help you with your MLM business I’d like to share 5 different ideas about getting the right MLM training.

MLM Training Secret 1

1. This first idea is the most important. DO NOT QUIT! It may be hard, it may beckoning to you like a siren, no more phone calls, or putting up with folks who are intent on pulling you into the dark rut they live in. Incorporating the correct training ideas, methods, and systems will (and have) bring so much prosperity. Fight the good fight.

2. Understand the way to success 30 to 40 years ago was to bring in 30 to 40 front line distributors. That was the foundation for a Network Marketing empire. Today, the most important skill is to learn how to sponsor large numbers of people. It is the most efficient way, it works with the need within the industry to have larger numbers to get your needed and desired leverage. The downside there is needing more people, the upside, it is easier to sponsor today. With the proper skills and application of those skills you can pull 30 to 40 people per month using the internet. Those numbers just were not possible in the “old days”.

Yesterday’s methods of mall walking, drop cards, cold calling were very time intensive (although they can still have a place in your marketing today) when compared to the capability of reaching thousands of per week, even per day, that are actively pursuing the exact business or product you are marketing. As such, you need to focus your training on teachings that emphasize those methodologies and skills.

4. The impact of social networking has yet to be fully understood, but suffice it to say the impact is huge. Just like email marketing was the first millionaire maker on the internet, followed by PPC, and Google, etc. Social media is the next thing. It is essential to unlock the secrets of lead creation using social media. Some of the organizations that have been built through social networking and the relative shortness of time needed are staggering.

5. I debated where to put this idea, but this last one is not the least and it comes with an asterisk. Find a mentor. The caveat is, the mentor must be getting results in today’s market place. As I have been trying to stress here, your efforts will be so much more productive if you are following some one who is using techniques that are working in 2011 and not working with someone who knew Edison (metaphorically speaking).

You’ve been drooling over the prospect of Facebook making you millions in your Network Marketing business. In fact, when you were thinking of How to MLM this time, Facebook was going to be the difference maker. No more 500 pound phone, no more opening your mouth and having nothing but sand and strange warblings spew out. It was the dawn of a new day.

Facebook, the new How to MLM?

But there it sits, after creating your personal page and reading tons of articles and viewing YouTube videos on “How to Set up Your Own Facebook Page for Business” until your eyes bulged out of your head. It sits there doing nothing. Maybe if you change a font color or font size you think.

Well get ready to run. I am going to share 4 free ways and 1 paid way to Promote your Page. Here goes…

1. Create an enticing Page. If your page looks like the proverbial “two by fours slapped together” you will not draw folks into your world. There are applications like the discussion board and YouTube video box that you can add to your Page. The ability to leave an opinion, view an interesting video will help engage the visitor. Give viewers a reason to become a fan of your Page.

2. Use the News Feed. This will help you leverage the viral nature of Facebook. A seridipity of creating an enticing Page is the interactions of visitors on the Page that activity is published to their News Feed. Which goes out to their friends. So when someone becomes a fan, or posts a comment, or attends one of your events, that gets fed to that visitor’s friends, who can interact, and it gets fed to their friends, and it goes and goes. That’s the viral power of Facebook.

3. Tap your own network. You have Facebook friends, professional acquaintances, maybe email subscribers and blog readers, and vendors, and the list can go on, and on. Do they know they can become a fan of your business on Facebook? Have you told them? Have you asked them? Your emails from this day forward to any and everybody should have a link to your Page in your email signature. Blog about your Facebook Page and post a link or badge back to your Facebook Page.

4. Make your Page searchable publicly. This searchability is a default because the Page is Public, but who knows what box you clicked or un-clicked when you were sleep deprived and seeing double when you built your page, straight from the YouTube video that finally made sense (why are they always the last one?). This public option allows your Page to be indexed by the search engines, which should, in turn, allow you to drive organic search traffic to your Page. Note: A way to tell something is amiss is if your Page does not show up in searches. If this is the case, go to “Edit Page”, click “Manage Permissions” and make sure the “Page Visibility” is un-checked.

5. Use Facebook Ads. This is not free. Much like Google has its Google Ads where keywords are bid on and when they show up in a search, in Facebook’s case, show up on a page with the demographics you want, and get clicked on you pay for that click. You can use Facebook Ads to advertise on Pages, Groups and Events.

It is called EdgeRank. If you saw the movie “Social Network”, there is a scene where they are discussing the formula for one of the original versions of Social Ranking, which, in a sense, is what this is. It was a way of determining, for lack of a better word, popularity.

It is a very important piece of technology. Think about it, could you imagine what your Facebook experience would be like if every bit of the content posted on Facebook streamed on to your wall? So the EdgeRank algorithm was created to determine what items would be displayed to a Facebook user in her or his News Feed.

What does this mean for you and your Network Marketing or Home Based business? The EdgeRank algorithm determines how many people will see a link or content item that you have shared on your Page in their News Feed. So as a business you want to maximize this content exposure.

Here is where you will start to understand the “Like” frenzy that has been sweeping through the internet. It is the interactions with posts such as a share, a comment, tag, a “Like” that create what is known as an “edge” by Facebook. The more edges your post has, they are seen as objects by the algorithm, the more likely it will be displayed in a user’s News Feed.

EdgeRank looks at the relevance (number of friends clicking, commenting, and “Liking”), frequency of posts, plus the user’s own history of clicking and messaging within Facebook. So the writing is clearly on the wall.

In order to enhance your EdgeRank appeal, it is important to pay attention to the details and do the little things like placing a Facebook “Like” button on your blog and website. It means you want your fans to interact with the content you share on your Page. It further means you will have to be asking them questions, creating contests or games for your fans, and posting interesting articles from other websites.

You’ve seen your MLM company’s plan, used some of the products, and other than the list of friends thingy, you are going to knock this thing clear out of the park. So the occasional group meeting, the webinar just pitched by somebody’s email, the article marketing, the blog, the clicks, the PPC, on page SEO, the Facebook, Twitter, video marketing, note to self, look into Forum marketing as well.

Now aren’t we just blasting this thing? In no time at all the old buckeroos should start pouring in. Speaking of time, what is your time frame?

Is the plan to do all the things mention in the first paragraph for 1 year? 2? More? Or is it the amount of work you do will determine the time?

I would like to caution you that if you do all those things mentioned in the first paragraph, it will be the “More” scenario.

In this business, focus is important. In fact I just misspoke, focus, focus, focus is important. So you need to pick one or two of those areas to be focusing your marketing efforts. But in so doing you need to realize and understand this…

You get paid in this business for two things, Selling Product and Recruiting fellow distributors to do the same. So as a part of that focus “thingy” you need to make sure what ever marketing you are doing is addressing those areas. Otherwise, its not quite like watching TV, but it can be very close.

So now you are focusing your marketing to either be driving customers or distributors into your business empire. And if you are ambitious, that needs to equate to about 2 hours a day. That is two hours a day building professional relationships. That is driving prospects and/or customers to information about your opportunity or product.

What is your time frame?

That depends on many things, but for the sake of this discussion, I am going to assume you are a big dreamer and hard worker. I am going to assume you are the type that $100,000 per month, just might be a start.

It is a simple process, that can be so hard to do. I also say you can make $100,000 per month because there are very few Network Marketing plans that do not pay out that much if you have only six (6) distributors trying to get to that $100,000 mark in one year.

The simple process broken down or the hard work explained.

If you want to make $100,000 per month, in that two hours, you need to be building professional relationships with 30 people a day 20 days a month. You can call 30 people in two hours. And again it is the exposure part, either getting folks to a presentation or product information area. (This is what those Internet activities are supposed be doing and helping with).

If you want to do it in 2 years, you need to be in front of 20 people a day.

If you want to do it in 1 year, you need to be in front of 10 people a day.

There it is.
